We read about the newest diet craze called Six
Weeks to OMG by Venice A Fulton. We bought the book, and liked what we
read.

Six
Weeks To OMG is a diet with three different programs designed to help
you get "skinner than all your friends." Well.... we will see!
Main ideas:
- taking cold baths/showers will help you burn more fat
- drinking coffee black will help you burn more fat
- waiting 3 hours after waking to eat breakfast burns more fat
- not eating between meals keeps your body in fat burning mode
- exercising at least 15 min before every meal burns more fat (called periods of movement POM)
- blowing up a balloon at night is the best ab exercise and will help you burn more fat
We are hoping to burn more fat with this diet.LOL
We
understand that some of these ideas sound a little wacky, but
everything in the book is scientifically explained and makes sense... So
we are going to try it and see what happens.
Programs:
WAVE: Lose 10 pounds in 6 weeks:
- Shorter amount of time in cold bath/shower,
- POM1 (before meal one): 30 min exercise, POM2 (before meal two): 15 min exercise, POM3 (before meal three): 15 min exercise.
- 120 max carbs a day
Blaze: Lose 15 pounds in 6 weeks:
- longer amount of time in cold bath/shower
- POM1 (before meal one): 45 min exercise, POM2 (before meal two): 15 min exercise, POM3 (before meal three): 15 min exercise.
- 90 max carbs a day
Quake: Lose 20 pounds in 6 weeks:
- Longest amount of time in cold bath/shower
- POM1 (before meal one): 45 min exercise, POM2 (before meal two): 30 min exercise, POM3 (before meal three): 15 min exercise.
- 60 max carbs a day
Christina's Program: Hoping to lose 15 pounds in 6 weeks
I decided to do a tailored version of the Blaze program. I can't stand exercising for long periods of time. I
also have a full time job, so taking a cold bath in the morning doesn't
work for me. I will keep a strict diet. I'm hoping to increase the exercise as I go.
- 3 min cold showers
- POM1 (before meal one): 15-30 min exercise
- POM2 (before meal two): 15-20 min exercise
- POM3 (before meal three): 15-20 min exercise
- 90 max carbs a day
Kimberly's Program: Hoping to lose 10 pounds in 6 weeks
I
have decided to do a tailored version of the Wave program. I have a
large family to cook for and following a strict diet won't be something I
can stick to. I also have a full time job, so taking a cold bath in
the morning doesn't work for me either. I will focus mostly on the
exercise.

- POM1 (before meal one): 30-45 min exercise
- POM2 (before meal two): 15 min exercise
- POM3 (before meal three): 15 min exercise
- No set number of max carbs a day- just trying to eat healthy
